Posters

Kozik - Oct 4, 1996

This poster is in the classic Frank Kozik "look" depicting Mr. Ranger-sir admonishing Yogi Bear on the beach with the epithet: "no more beach parties!" and Yogi, lying on the sand, flipping him off. It's beautiful, it's irritating, it's an instant classic. 18" x 23".

Ron Donovan - Jan 31, 1997

A Ron Donovan original, seven-color, hand silk-screened,23 inch by 35 inch stunner of a poster commemorating The Mermen show at the Bottom of The Hill in San Francisco on Jan 31st, 1997 (with Liar and the Mudkats). This is the bassplayer-turns-40 show. The poster shows a dancing Kali (the malevolent female goddess...wife of Shiva) dancing around holding up the severed head of Allen at age 39 while wearing a lei around her neck of heads of Allen when he was nine. It's really sick. It's arresting, alarming, eye catching, but beautiful.
